Plot Summary

Ever wanted to take a day off high school? Did it involve taking a Ferrari for a spin from the garage of your best friend's father? Perhaps with a cute girlfriend by your side and making it all happen by convincing your parents that you were sick? Your fantasy was probably something like Ferris Bueller's. He turns it into reality with a meticulously detailed plan that includes a mix of preparation and quick-witted instinctive thinking to keep from getting caught all day.

My Thoughts

This is one of my favorite movies of all time. I still get extremely excited every time I watch this movie and it is something that every young kid needs to watch at a certain point in their lives. This is by far Matthew Broderick's greatest role ever, even though he went on to become a consistently solid actor for the rest of his career. It is also arguably the masterpiece of John Hughes, although it is really neck and neck with Home Alone 1 and 2 alongside it. This is a movie that teenagers embody in their spirit but also something that even adults can indulge in.
